About This Litter
This litter has been specifically planned to produce puppies who improve upon traits Mando and Joule possess, but to also solidify and perpetuate traits we adore.
I am aware that the price of a responsibly bred puppy can seem high, and it can be difficult to find the right time to ask the question, but I also recognize that money is a relevant factor in making any purchase. Puppy price is set at $2000.
First and foremost these dogs should be a well rounded pets with stable temperaments typical of the breed. Happily interacting in a friendly manner with any dog or person who approaches them, and entering new environments with the same confidence they have when they enter a known environment. I hope for puppies who will find success at hunt tests, agility, obedience, scent work, etc., as well as success at being a companion who requires nothing more than basic obedience to be a “go anywhere” kind of dog as both Mando and Joule have proven to be. Mando is a 52lb male at approximately 21″ at the withers, and Joule is a 40lb female at approximately 20″ at the withers.
Like most puppies, Mando and Joule required management and redirection to keep them from developing bad habits, but both potty trained and crate trained with ease. Joule has more food drive than Mando and he has more toy drive than Joule, though both will work for either. In the house, after the initial excitement of somebody arriving they settle in, but both will try to be as close to you as possible. They are both prone to throwing themselves at strangers like they have been best friends forever. Neither has ever shown any kind of aggressive behavior toward another dog or person. They are both used routinely at the clinic I work at for demonstrations of things like IV catheter placement and blood draws, muscle anatomy, and for practicing examinations and have no problems being handled by anybody in those situations.
These may be ideal puppies for a home that is looking for friendly, outgoing dogs who enjoy going places but are equally happy to be left at home. They would make good sport dogs to any degree you choose to commit to them, whether that is as an avid competitor or somebody who mostly enjoys having a pet who might like to dabble in sports for fun. They may enjoy hunting or hiking, camping or beach days, or just hanging out on the couch.
Our puppies are raised using Puppy Culture and Avidog raising protocols where suitable, and go home started on crate training, potty training, beginner puppy behaviors, grooming exposure and more, including a lifetime of support. They have been vet checked, current on deworming and vaccinations, and received an eye exam from a board certified ophthalmologist. I do not dock tails or remove front dew claws. We do introductions to a variety of experiences and foods in various food toys, and send puppies home with a “starter pack” of food, toys, and treats.
We expect to be a part of your life for at least as long as you have your dog, which is hopefully 15+ years, and so it is important for us to have open communication and a good relationship. We hope to be there to support and encourage you throughout and beyond the life of your Duality puppy. These kinds of relationships are built in the conversations, whether in person, email, phone, or otherwise that we have before you get the puppy and are maintained in the conversations and communication we have after you get the puppy. It is our hope and expectation that you reach out with any questions directly and stay in touch. If this sounds like the kind of relationship you are looking for with a breeder and the kind of dog you’re looking for, please contact us using the form below
